Mixed-Use

& Residential

With the resurgence of downtown Detroit, and an appreciation of historic architecture by business owners and dwellers alike, mixed-use office, residential, and retail projects are at the forefront of redevelopment. Twelve-25 Lofts, was the first of many projects that focused on a live, play, and bike to work philosophy. The design approach was to offer 3 loft styles, a community deck, conference suite, and secured bike storage, while the first floor was reserved for restaurant and retail.

A similar concept was applied to the Harbor House proposal in Portland, OR. The assigned project for the Master of Interior Architecture Studio, was a competition and placed in the top 3. The facility focuses on teenage rehabilitation, and provides a retreat where they can build friendships, find solace and security, develop work skills, and express themselves freely.
